As of June 2023, Softing Industrial has received certification in accordance with the IEC 62443-4-1:2018 standard for the company's sites in Haar near Munich and in Nuremberg, as well as at its development site in Cluj, Romania. The certification process was conducted by TÜV Süd and verifies the process requirements for the safe development of products used in industrial automation and control systems. TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein) is the internationally recognized German technical inspection association that tests, inspects, and certifies technologies, products, and systems to safeguard against potential hazards and prevent damage.
Certification guarantees cybersecurity
With this certification, Softing Industrial meets the requirements for a secure development lifecycle in terms of cybersecurity for its automation products. This includes security requirements definition, secure design, secure implementation, verification and validation, defect management, patch management, and end-of-life.
