TeamViewer

If suitable, Softing Industrial Automation GmbH support staff will suggest using the online tool TeamViewer®. Using this software may significantly speed up the resolution of your ticket. TeamViewer® establishes a joint PC session between you and one of our support staff members.
Without your explicit consent, this employee cannot view your PC. Furthermore, it is not possible to remove unnoticed and unauthorized data from your PC. No third-party programs will be installed on your PC unless you request it. You can end the joint session at any time by closing the program.

The manufacturer of TeamViewer® explains about encryption and authentication:
TeamViewer connections run over fully secured data channels that are built with a 2048 bit RSA public/private key exchange and encrypted with 256 bit AES. This technology is also used in a comparable form for https/SSL and is considered completely secure according to the current state of the art. Since the private key never leaves the client computer, this procedure technically ensures that intermediate computers on the Internet cannot decipher the data stream, which therefore also applies to the TeamViewer routing servers. Each TeamViewer client has already implemented the public key of our master cluster and can thus encrypt messages to the master cluster or verify its signature. The public key infrastructure effectively prevents "man-in-the-middle attacks". Despite encryption, the password is never transmitted directly, but in challenge-response mode, and is stored only on the local computers. During authentication, the password is never transmitted directly due to the use of the Secure Remote Password protocol (SRP) and only a password verifier is stored on the local computer.
