Knoxville, TN/USA — Softing Inc., a leading provider of industrial data communication and connectivity solutions, announces the promotion of Tim Wallaert to President.
In his role as President, Wallaert will report directly to Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer Todd Parker and will continue to build on his current leadership responsibilities, with an expanded mandate to advance Softing’s Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) business. Softing’s ODM services enable companies to bring innovative products to market through comprehensive design and manufacturing support that would otherwise be unachievable.
Wallaert will serve as the face of Softing’s ODM initiatives, leading external sales efforts by expanding key customer relationships, strengthening strategic partnerships, overseeing contract negotiations, and driving revenue growth in alignment with the company’s long-term business strategy.

Wallaert brings more than 35 years of experience in industrial automation to his role as President of Softing Inc. Before this appointment, he served as Vice President of Product and Project Management, where he played a key role in streamlining the company’s product portfolio and enhancing project management practices.
He began his career at Rockwell Automation, where he was instrumental in the launch of the 1756 ControlLogix platform. Wallaert holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University. He also holds 28 patents related to industrial automation and control systems.
